“Good day, I ordered the “Citron Tote” gift for my mother for Mother’s Day last week not realizing that I was ordering outside of Ontario (on Friday). After receiving a confirmation email I was worried about delivery time so I sent an email to customer service (saying if the gift could not be delivered on Mother’s Day I would cancel and order from a local company). The next day (on my way driving back from Miami to Toronto), I received a call from a friendly, pleasant lady from your company informing me that I did indeed order from The Sweet Basket and although the order could not be shipped until Monday via UPS (and delivered Tuesday), she would call my mother directly and explain that I ordered an item to be shipped to her on Mother’s Day but that due to an unforeseen shipping error, the item would be there two days late.because of this woman, I will be using The Sweet Basket whenever need to send a special gift to someone. The woman (I wish I could remember her name to give her credit) went above and beyond her duty as a representative of your company to ensure my order and my integrity was fulfilled and intact. I can’t tell you how special and how rare this kind of customer service is. “Hello, I would like to commend the Sweet Basket on the excellent customer service I received on a recent order. Early in June, I ordered a gift basket for my father for Father’s Day. I had requested that the gift basket be mailed the week of June 13 in order to arrive just before Father’s Day. The basket was shipped on Monday the 13th, but delivery was interrupted by the Canada Post strike. I was immediately alerted to the delay with a voicemail from the Sweet Basket and offered an alternative: to ship another basket to my father via UPS. Even though I was not able to respond to the voicemail until after close of business that day, I left a voicemail requesting the UPS option. I just got confirmation from my father that he has received his basket. I am thoroughly impressed by how the Sweet Basket handled this situation. Your company took proactive and rapid steps to ensure that my Father’s Day gift would arrive on time, even though the postal strike is not your fault or within your control in any way. You were under no obligation to do anything after the basket was placed in the mail on Monday, and your dedication to customer service is truly remarkable.
